Review: Achievements made in previous four talks

Since June 2008, talks between the mainland's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits and its Taiwan counterpart Straits Exchange Foundation have been held twice a year, one on the mainland and one in Taiwan. Let's take a look at what the previous 2 years achieved.


--Time: June 12, 2008

--Location: Beijing

--Results: Weekend chartered flight, mainland residents travelling to Taiwan


--Time: November 11, 2008

--Location: Taipei, Taiwan

--Results: Direct maritime transportation, chartered flights during weekdays and on weekends, direct postal service, food security


--Time: April 26, 2009

--Location: Nanjing, Jiangsu Province

--Results: Direct air transportation, financial cooperation, one common agreement on fighting criminals, and common agreements on the mainland's investment in Taiwan


--Time: December 22, 2009

--Location:TaiChung, Taiwan

--Results: Fishing boat crew labor cooperation, agricultural inspection and quarantine cooperation and cooperation agreement on standards for meteorology and inspection certificate.
