Though South Korea's manufacturing sector kept expanding in June but the pace hit a six-month low.
A private survey by the Markit Economics shows that the country's manufacturing purchasing managers' index fell to about 53 in June, one percentage point down from May. The survey also says the PMI on the sector's output prices rose to about 53 in June, the highest since November 2008.
The figure underlines building inflation pressures in the manufacturing sector. However, on contrarary, its consumer prices rose by 2.6 percent in June year-on-year.
