Network integration to bring ¥700 bln business

The net integration is set to generate business opportunities worth around 700 billion yuan.

The Deputy President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering says the investment to upgrade infrastructure could be a 250-billion-yuan business. He also says companies taking part in the integration will employ more people to boost productivity.

Currently, there are around 160 million cable users in China, among which 100 million don't yet own set top boxes. Their potential purchase plan will be worth around 35 billion yuan. The IT industry will also benefit. Computer and PDA manufacturers, as well as other component producers will have the opportunity to provide upgraded products to consumers.
