Farmers from southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have started training courses on agricultural technology and management in Taiwan.

During their 10-day stay in Taichung in central Taiwan, 19 farmers will learn from Taiwan's agricultural experts, share experience with local farmers and visit local farms. Guangxi plans to launch similar training courses in the next five years.

The courses will be run annually, hosting 100 farmers from Taiwan each year. A delegation from Guangxi visiting the island has signed a deal for the purchase of Taiwan fruits, worth around 4 million yuan.
