Taiwan's economic authorities plan to initiate a new round of promotional campaigns for the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement with the mainland.

The campaign aims to explain to Taiwan industries and companies how they can benefit from the trade deal, which is also known as the ECFA. It also urges local businesses to take the opportunities and initiate a golden decade of development for the island.

Taiwan leader Ma Ying-Jeou says the ECFA deal will help create 60 thousand more jobs in Taiwan. He says it will especially benefit Tainan, which hosts a large number of small and medium sized enterprises in traditional industries.
