Hong Kong is heating up this summer. And it's not just the weather, but the influx of tourists swarming to the city. Travel agencies say soaring numbers of both individual and group travellers are heading to Hong Kong. The main attractions? Summer vacation on the mainland, and the promise of a bargain in Hong Kong's end of season sales.

Dun Jidong, from CTRIP said "July 1st to the end of August is the sales period in Hong Kong. Many shops offer discounts. So many people go to Hong Kong to shop. And many parents take their kids for summer vacation - our family fun tour has been very popular."
