A 300-member delegation from central China's Hunan Province has arrived in Taiwan, to place orders for local products and to strengthen links.
At an economic and cultural cooperation forum, the two sides pledged to create prosperity for both sides, especially to strengthen cooperation in the emerging industries. The delegation is led by Mei Kebao, deputy secretary of Hunan Province. The two sides have signed deals worth nearly one billion US dollars, in tourism, animation, as well as vocational training.
On Friday, the delegation is scheduled to host an agricultural cooperation forum in Tainan County, announcing the list of Taiwan agricultural products that it plans to buy, and to sign an agricultural cooperation agreement. The delegation will depart Taiwan on Sunday.
