It's been 35 years since China and Thailand first established diplomatic relations. In celebration of the anniversary, a shopping mall featuring Thai-made products was unveiled on the weekend in Kunming, the capital of southwest China's Yunnan province.
In the 2,500-square-meter mall, customers can choose from a multitude of different products from Thailand. The mall also serves as a unique museum, for local residents to learn about Thai culture. A local exhibition also showcases Thai handicrafts, cuisine and costumes.
Yunnan connects China to Southeast Asia, and the city of Kunming plays an important role in Sino-Asean trade. More regional investment is set to flow into the city.
