Thailand's Commerce Ministry has raised its forecast for export growth this year, from 19 percent to 20 percent. It's due to high demand for Thai products.
Commerce Minister Porntiva Nakasai says exports in the first half of this year increased by 36 percent, compared to the same period last year. Export value in June stood at over 18 billion US dollars.
The ministry says in the second half of this year, it will launch a marketing campaign to promote Thai exports. The campaigns will focus on Southeast Asia, China, Japan and India, and countries in other regions which have economic development potential.
