Annual growth in South Korean exports to China and the U.S. slowed in July. Data is adding to concerns over the global economic recovery.
Figures show South Korean exports to China, its top overseas market, rose nearly 30 percent in July from a year earlier. That's the lowest growth since October 2009. And the growth of the nation's shipments to the U.S., its third largest export market, also contracted.
But its export value to China have exceeded 10 billion U.S. dollars for the first time ever. And the value to the U.S. also hit a record monthly high. Analysts say they don't expect a double-dip in the Chinese and the U.S. economies.
