China's aviation industry enjoys fast growth in July

China's aviation industry was flying high in July, as the sectors main performance indicators rose significantly.

The overall turnover for the industry was nearly 5 billion ton-kilometers, up more than 28 percent compared with the same period last year. Passenger volumes hit more than 25 million, increasing by more than 20 percent year on year.

Cargo loads also took off hitting more than 440 thousand tonnes. That's an increase of more than 23 percent year on year. Industry profits soared more than 350 percent in July, to nearly 6.5 billion yuan.

Most noticeably, the average passenger load increased to nearly 84 percent, much higher than 70 percent at the same time last year.
