Japanese media is reporting Japan and India are set to sign free trade and investment deals before year end. The two sides will meet next month to discuss the details. India's rapidly expanding economy and huge market are believed to be the major attraction for Japan.
Under the deals, Japan expects to enlarge auto and machinery exports to India, while India wants to increase its pharmaceutical exports to Japan. If the agreement is reached, India will be the 12th country to sign such deals with Japan.
