Experts say if Gome's dispute isn't dealt with soon, it will have a big influence on the home appliance retailing industry as a whole.

Gome ranks number one in the sector, and Suning follows. But there could be a reshuffle in the sector, and Suning would be the benefactor. Suning's control over manufacturers will be strengthened, and its bargaining of prices will be bad for Gome and industry manufacturers. It could mean less competition in China's home appliance industry.

Ye Tan, economic commentator said "The retail channel of home appliances will be reshuffled. Gome used to be the number one, but I think Suning will take over. Suning will have more control on factories, and Suning's bargaining of prices will not be good for Gome, or factories. They are facing agglomerations, which is really bad for China's home electronics industry."
