The Civil Aviation Administration says Chinese airlines transported around 25 million passengers in July. That's a new high for any single month.
The figure marks a 21 percent growth from the same period last year, and 17 percent month-on-month. The rising number reflects China's steady economic development and recovery in the international aviation industry after the financial crisis.
Starting from 2009, the number of Chinese air passengers has seen double digit growth for 19 months. And the trend is set to continue into the second half this year, with the National Day holiday marking a high travel season.
