The Japanese government has welcomed the Bank of Japan's decision to ease monetary policy. Finance Minister Yoshihiko Noda said the central bank's response was in line with government steps to support the economy.
While Deputy finance minister Naoki Minezaki, said the government hopes to work closely with the Bank of Japan to stop the severe currency moves. Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshito Sengoku, also said the government wants the Bank of Japan to continue to act appropriately to fight deflation.
