Hong Kong and Taiwan have agreed to take turns organizing regular joint meetings. They're aimed at strengthening exchanges and cooperation in regards to the economy and culture.
The two sides' Economic and Cultural Cooperation Councils held their first meeting in Taipei on Monday. The next will be in Hong Kong next year. Both sides expressed a common desire to enhance mutual understanding through the new platform, and to mutually promote exchanges and cooperation on trade and commerce.
Taiwan also welcomes the establishment of a Hong Kong Tourism Board office in Taipei.
