The Thai government is set to launch a joint project, to develop three high-speed train lines with the Chinese government. The Sino-Thai project includes lines from Nong Khai to Bangkok, Bangkok to Padang Besa, and Bangkok to Rayong.
In the initial phase, a company will be designated to manage the 100-billion Thai Baht rail projects. A more detailed plan will be established when Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva visits China on September 4th.
