The Expo has attracted many exhibitors from Taiwan. They consider the expo a good business opportunity, after the Chinese mainland and Taiwan signed the landmark Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement, or ECFA, in June this year.

There's a special exhibition area for Taiwan products. 58 exhibitors with nearly a hundred stands are showcasing products including wine, farm produce and high-tech gadgets. They hope to take this opportunity to expand into the mainland market and other ASEAN countries.

A total of 60 Taiwan exhibitors have participated in the past six China-ASEAN expos, seeing a subsequent turnover of more than 1.7 million US dollars.

One Taiwan exhibitor said "The Chinese market together with the ASEAN countries is quite large. So we came here to seek partners."

Feng Dingguo, President of ASEAN-Taiwan Trade & Investment Assoc. said "Very few Taiwan companies attended the expo when we first came several years ago. But the number of Taiwan exhibitors is increasing year by year. Especially after the ECFA was signed, more Taiwan investors hope to seek opportunities via this platform."
