The U.S. Fed's latest round of quantitative easing will undoubtedly be discussed at the G20 summit. The policy has incited mixed reactions from many member countries.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel says the U.S. issued its quantitative easing policy, in order to force the dollar to depreciate and gain an export advantage. France's finance minister says QE2 was a unilateral decision made by the United States. While Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan points out that QE2 has attributed to the yen's appreciation.

ASEAN member nations have also expressed their concerns over exchange rate fluctuations and the effect of QE2.

Analysts believe as trade and exchange rate frictions increase, promoting global cooperation will be a top priority for the G20.
