For a look ahead to the JCCT meeting, we go back to Professor Liu Baocheng, from the University of International Business and Economics.

1 Between currency disputes and a swollen trade surplus, I think it's fair to say that China-US trade relations are sensitive at the moment. There will certainly be a lot to talk about, but what are the most urgent issues in your opinion?

2 China and the US cap a rocky year of trade relations with this dialogue, as I just mentioned. In your own words, how tense has the relationship been over the last year? And could it get worse?

3. With all those issues, it's perhaps not surprising that some are not anticipating tangible results from the upcoming two day meeting. What do you think?
