As Chinese President Hu Jintao heads to the United States for a four-day state visit, businesses in both China and the U.S. are paying close attention. They hope the trip will expand economic cooperation between the two countries.

Clay Hickson is the director of the incubation park at Towson University, Maryland. The park provides a platform for small and medium sized start-ups in the U.S. Hickson says the incubation park hopes to develop cooperation with more Chinese companies.

This business data service company, located in the incubation park, has created a Chinese-language company profile, in order to expand their business in China.

Some firms in the Towson incubation park have already benefited from the Chinese market.

Since the U.S. set the goal to double exports by the year 2015, China's trade surplus has become a sensitive issue in China-U.S. relations.

In December last year, China and the United States signed several economic and trade cooperation deals during the 21st U.S.-China Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade in Washington. Both sides have expressed hope to further cooperate in business and trade.
