Data from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing shows the country's official PMI for manufacturing fell for another month in February to 52.2, down from January's 52.9.

Do keep in mind though, it's still the 24th consecutive month the official PMI has stood above the threshold of 50, which is the benchmark for growth. Meanwhile, the sub-index for input prices headed up, rising to 70.1 from a 69.3 in January.

Analysts say rising input prices means rising cost pressures for companies, which may suggest price pressures- inflation- continued throughout February. The drought is expected to have put pressure on grain prices, while political unrest in the Middle East may continue to push up oil prices.

It doesn't stop there for the inflation outlook, the depreciating greenback and the Fed's quantitative easing is also increasing inflationary pressures here.
