The Fourth Session of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference - the country's top political advisory body - has opened at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

More than 2,000 CPPCC National Committee members across the country, will discuss the nation's development during the annual session which is scheduled to conclude on March 13th. Yin Hang has more on the tough issues.

Concern 1: Will China maintain its economic growth momentum?

China's economic growth achieved an average of 11 percent growth in the past five years. But looking ahead, mounting inflationary pressure, world economic uncertainties and worries of asset bubbles are facing China's economy. So one of the most concerning questions is: how will China maintain its growth momentum in the next Five-Year Program?

Concern 2: How can people benefit from high-speed GDP growth?

China outstripped Japan to become the world second largest economy. But China's per capita GDP still remains low. So the government is working out a way that more people can benefit from the robust economic growth. People are expecting a solution from this year's CPPCC meeting.

Concern 3: How to maximize private entrepreneurs' contribution?

A large portion of the CPPCC member are private entrepreneurs. China's private enterprises will play an important role in pushing forward China's economic transformation. But China needs to find a way to maximize its contribution in achieving the goals set by China's 12th Five-year Program.

Concern 4: How to transform the economic dev't model?

Transforming the development model is expected to be one of the focal points at the CPPCC. China plans sweeping economic change, focusing on transforming the economic development model, to boost growth in a sustainable manner. But challenges remain ahead such as trade disputes, and pressure for an appreciating yuan.

The people want to know what the blue print will be, for China's economic transformation.
