Business news now, and Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan has urged the country's lenders to increase financing to small businesses.

China's monetary tightening measures have given rise to fundraising difficulties for many businesses.

The Vice Premier made the call during a two-day inspection tour of Shijiazhuang, capital of northern China's Hebei Province. He says small businesses are closely connected to employment, economic restructuring and social stability.

Wang Qishan says more efforts should be made to accelerate the development of the financial industry, and push forward reforms to facilitate financing for small businesses. He's also urging bankers and officials to strengthen financial supervision and regulate the financial market, to prevent systematic and regional financial risks.
