Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang visits HK over financial, trade cooperation

Chinese Vice Premier, Li Keqiang, is currently on a visit to Hong Kong. This morning, the Vice Premier attended a forum on the 12th Five-Year Program for National Economic and Social Development, and financial and trade cooperation between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.

At the forum, Li Keqiang announced central government policies intended to support Hong Kong's development and the establishment of an offshore yuan center there.

The Vice Premier is scheduled to visit the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and attend a ceremony marking the issuance of 20 billion yuan renminbi-denominated Treasury bonds in Hong Kong this afternoon.

Li Keqiang arrived in Hong Kong on Tuesday, and he met with Hong Kong Chief Executive, Donald Tsang, in the afternoon, and commercial representatives.
