London woos Chinese tourists on Olympics

Chinese tourism agencies are seizing the opportunities presented by the upcoming London Olympics. (full story >>)  Britain's tourism industry is also trying to attract more Chinese visitors. Chinese characters can be found everywhere on the Olympic-related products and promotional material.

Britain has launched a four-year long global tourism promotion program, aiming to attract one million more foreign visitors each year. And the booming Chinese market is one of their key targets.

In the famous Harrods department store, shopping guides are provided in both English and Chinese. And in John Lewis, various Olympic Mascots are sold, with several products designed with Chinese consumers in mind.
