With over 1,600 delegates from over 90 countries and regions expected to arrive in Dalian for the Summer Davos forum, the local airport has introduced special measures to ensure smooth passenger flow.

New machines are in place to help scan fingerprints and corneas, and undertake facial identification. In response to the large amount of luggage and packages ahead of the event, the airport has launched a 24-hour customs clearance system. Delegates can also use a dedicated green channel through customs, to save time.

Jiang Tao, director of Dalian Zhoushuizi Frontier Inspection said, "Identification is much quicker, by using machines instead of humans. We can save about 10 seconds on each passenger, that adds up to a substantial amount of time."

Tian Lin, deputy director of Dalian International Airport Customs said, "We've opened a dedicated customs channel for Davos participants, the process only takes two minutes."
