Greek Finance Minister: Brave decisions needed from EU

To the epicentre of the European debt crisis now, and Greek Finance Minister, Evangelos Venizelos, says EU leaders must show they can make bold decisions at this week's crucial summit.

He spoke at a budget debate in Greek Parliament on Sunday, and said the eurozone needs to show it can cover the institutional and political deficit with sufficient and brave financial interventions.

Evangelos Venizelos said, "This week at the European Union and Eurozone summit a clear message is needed to be sent both internally and to the international community and markets that the Eurozone can cover the institutional and political deficit with sufficient and brave financial interventions that allow countries, their citizens, and international institutions to protect themselves from the asymmetric war that is being waged with the markets."
