Breaking those numbers down further, the growth pace of China's import prices continued to drop last year, while private companies took a bigger portion of overall exports.

In December, the prices of imported goods grew by just under 9 percent, compared to more than 15 percent in August.

Analysts say that helped ease inflationary pressures in China, as it lowered raw material costs for companies.

Meanwhile, private firms expanded their imports and exports faster than the overall increase, and took a bigger portion compared to 2010. Analysts say that’s thanks to the government’s measures to help small and medium sized enterprises.
