Cross over: Fed's pressure amid better economy

The U.S. Federal Reserve on Tuesday is expected to hold steady on monetary policy, acknowledging a mildly brighter economic outlook while refraining from any suggestion that further easing is now off the table. Analysts say the U.S. central bank is unlikely to offer much of anything in the way of fresh clues on its policy course, after the one-day meeting. <Full story>

For more on the Fed’s monetary policy, we are joined by our correspondent Daniel Ryntjes in Washington. Hello,.Daniel!

Q1: The U.S. economy has been showing signs of life. On the flip side, should we expect the Fed to put on the brakes when it comes to further easing?

Q2: But if the Fed takes further action, will the Committee face criticism that such actions are too risky?
