With the Olympic Games in London just around the corner, here in China, flight operators are getting ready to embrace the coming peak season. In cities like Beijing or Shanghai, many of them have already increased their ticket fares - by some 60 percent in July from June.

According to an industry insider, 80 percent of the seats going to London have so far been booked out for June, while for July, the seat reservation rate has reached 70 percent. On some flights, almost all of the first-class and business class decks have been sold out.

Currently, domestic operators including China Airlines, China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines offer flights from China to Britain.

But as demand is increasing, most of them have added extra flights to London, with most of their tickets already booked out as well.
