Shanghai welcomed the arrival of the largest cruise ship in Asia on Tuesday. The Voyager of the Seas, sailing under the flag of one of the world’s largest cruise companies, the Royal Caribbean, docked in the city’s port for the first time to kick off its summer itinerary in China.

The Voyager of the Sea has - get this - a basketball court, a rock-climbing wall, shopping avenue and a three-floor main dining room.

The 140,000-ton cruise ship is the largest ever to choose Shanghai as its home port. Its routes will cover major cities in Asia such as Nagasaki and Singapore.

The company is quite confident about the cruise market in China. The cruise ship has a capacity of three thousand 840 passengers. Next up, the ship will stop at Tianjin and Xiamen, both of which have well-developed terminal services.
