At least 19 people have died after a train smashed into a truck in South Africa's Eastern Mpumalanga province.

The two collided at a train level crossing between Hectorspruit and Malalane, as the truck was carrying fruit-pickers to a farm. The cause of the accident is still unclear. An investigation is underway.
