For more on this archeological discovery, we're joined by our reporter Bao Jiajie, who's covering the story.

Hi Bao Jiajie. We know there have been delays due to bad weather. What's the latest there in terms of progress?

It seems the region where the sunken ship is is prone to pretty unpredictable weather conditions. Why was this sea route so popular in ancient times despite the often bad weather?

Q3 - And, finally Bao Jiajie, what's the weather forecast for tomorrow? And will excavation work be able to continue?

Ok, thanks that. That's our reporter Bao Jiajie covering the excavation operation in the South China Sea. And just a reminder if you want to get in touch with the China 24 team and comment on this story or anything else you see, we'd love to hear from you. Our e-mail is:
