The State Administration of Work Safety says the coal mine blast that killed 47 people in central China's Henan Province was due to illegal mine operation.
The license of the privately owned mine expired June 6th, but the owner illegally resumed operations. One of the 25 hospitalized miners has been discharged.
Fifteen are in stable condition while the other nine are in serious condition. Most workers are suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning triggered by explosion and burns.
