Each aircraft was loaded with rescuers and aid supplies. The planes have transported nearly a thousand army rescue workers, many who will use boats to reach flood victims. The helicopters took off from Wuhan in central China's Hubei Province. Meanwhile, boats, life jackets and other rescue materials have been sent from Tianjin, Shenyang and Changchun.
