China's Ministry of Defense has issued a no-sail warning in the East China Sea from June 30th to July 5th while it conducts live ammunition exercises.
During a press conference given by the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, spokesman Qing Gang said the exercise is routine military training, and is in no way related to the situation on the Korean Peninsula. He noted that it is standard practice for the PLA navy to issue such a notice to ensure the safety of aircraft and ships that may pass through the training area.
