Heavy rain continues to pour on Central China. Water levels in Han River, the second largest tributary of the Yangtze River reached a record high on Tuesday.
Danjiangkou reservoir on the river in central China's Hubei Province is facing a new bout of rising water. The 154.85 meters of water level is the second highest since it was built in 1968.
It's passed the danger level by 6 meters. The flow rate hit more than 40 thousand cubic meters a second, and is expected to continue rising. Facing flooding, Hubei Province raised the flood alert to the second highest level Monday evening.
