In response to the issue, the infant formula manufacturer, Syrutra, has posted a statement on its website. It says the company solemnly declares that all the products produced and sold by Syrutra are safe. No man-made hormones or any illegal substances were added during production.
Syrutra is also prepared to obtain legal representation to sue media that publish negative reports which could harm the company's sales. Meanwhile, industry watchers say the latest infant formula scare is unlikely to hurt the whole dairy sector, as milk powder is only a small part of the entire market.
