More than ten social groups in Hong Kong have handed letters to the Philippines Consulate in Hong Kong, demanding a thorough investigation into the hostage crisis.
Meanwhile, the special administrative region's government has announced two more days until Thursday to mourn the victims of the incident. Lau Mei-sze, manager of Hong Thai Travel which organized the Philippines trip, talked about the compensation for the victims' families.
Lau Mei-Sze, Manager, Hong Thai Travel Agency, said, "All the tour members were covered by insurance. We are discussing compensation issues with insurance companies.
Families of each victim who lost their lives in the incident will be offered one million Hong Kong dollars by the insurance company, 300 thousand by our travel agency, as well as a gratuity of 20 thousand by the Hong Kong SAR government. "
