With only several days before its launch, checks on China's second lunar probe satellite Chang'e two were completed Tuesday. After careful examination by scientists, all systems are working well. Preparations are now entering their final stages to fuel the rocket for launching.

The big screen in the Xichang Satellite Launch Center is showing the operation mode and data of each system. Scientists are calculating every single piece of data to make sure the satellite is working well. The check is to test the function of each system and the coordination between different systems. Any problems found will be solved immediately.

Ying Liqing, senior scientist of Xichang Satellite Launch Center, said, The result of the check on Chang'e two is satisfactory. We have calculated all data and everything is working well.

Officials say, a panel of some leading scientists will study the results of the check. If the check result passes, the whole program will move to the next step.

The strict check on Chang'e two is because it features the latest technology and a complicated system. It will be sent directly into its earth-moon transfer orbit at a distance of 2 hundred kilometers by a Long March-3C carrier rocket, setting a new record in the history of China's space exploration. It will take just seven days for Chang'e-2 to reach the orbit, half the time Chang'e one took three years ago.

The Tuesday check is an all-around test on the lunar probe satellite. The first three successful tests involved a simulated launch and coordination check.
