Manhunt underway after Chinese family of four found dead in UK

A manhunt is underway after a Chinese family of four were found dead in the UK on Sunday. The suspect is believed to be of Chinese origin and had business links with the deceased.

Jifeng Ding, his wife Helen Chui, and daughters Alice and Xing, were found violently stabbed in their home in Northampton on Sunday night.

A murder inquiry has since been launched.

Ding was a senior lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University.

It's said his two daughters were good school students. Teaching staff and students have been left devastated.

The suspect, with the family name of Du, aged 52, is understood to have worked in a Chinese herbal medicine shop in Birmingham. He had business interests with the deceased.

Du believed he was owed thousands of pounds by the family. This resulted in a court case, which the suspect lost on Thursday.

Police released surveillance footage on Wednesday, showing suspect Du boarding a train from Birmingham New Street train station to Northampton on Friday morning.

Police are appealing for people who have seen him to contact the authorities.
