Guangxi hijacker shot dead

A man has been shot dead after hijacking a bus on a highway in Heshan city in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. 17 passengers hijacked were all safely rescued Saturday after a three hour chase.

Police chased the green bus after a man who was fighting with other people escaped on the vehicle.

The man decided to hijack the bus to escape the police. The bus driver had no idea what was going on behind him. The hijacker ended up being shot dead by police.

Zhi Hua, policeman, said, "When the bus stopped, the hijacker saw us and tried to stab the driver,so two of our team members shot him from both sides of the bus and killed him."

The driver shows his scar to reporter.

The 17 passengers on the bus were later sent to hospital, two were kept in but the others were allowed home.

The case is to be further investigated.

Ms. Ling who jump out of the bus window got hurt.
