China still ranks 1st on the medal tally, with 22 gold, 11 silver and 16 bronze medals at the summer universiade in Shenzhen.

In the men's recurve bow final, China took on Japan. The combination of Ren Jinke, Liu Zhaowu and Chang Liang was steady throughout the contest, leading to China topping Japan with an 18-15 victory, the country's first gold in archery at this event.
