Dalian to host 2011 Summer Davos

This year's Summer Davos will open on September 14th in the north-east city of Dalian, to discuss the theme of Mastering Quality Growth. More than 1,600 participants from 90 countries and regions have registered to participate in the three days of debate, including eight foreign leaders and former politicians. Chinese premier Wen Jiabao will attend the opening ceremony. The forum will focus on pursuing new economic growth and encourage innovation and creativity in business.

The Summer Davos, also called the Annual Meeting of the New Champions, was established in 2007 by the World Economic Forum. The annual meeting also brings together influential stakeholders of global growth companies, primarily from emerging countries such as China, India and Russia as well as fast movers from developed countries.
