1st art exhibition themed animal protection opens in Beijing

The first domestic art exhibition themed animal protection opened in Beijing on Sunday.

This "Animals We Care-Art Exhibition" will last for four months, during which artists will appeal for good treatment to animals and respect to life by sand paintings, sculptures and other art forms.

Fu Yuxiang, a local painter in Chongqing Municipal, southwest China, has brought two pieces of paintings to the exhibition. One of them named "I Watch You Enjoying the Scenery from a High Place", with the tree, ostrich and people, elaborates the beauty of nature and presents the tension of life and tolerance of world properly .

"We will have a very vivid and intuitive impression on the charity and animal care when art blending in. Everyone can be brought into the art to understand and see abstract things through," said Fu Yuxiang.

The sand painting artist, Gao Zanming, added that as an eye-catching form of art, sand paintings would attract people's attention to feel the theme of art in this animal care activity or the other activities.

The exhibition tour will be held in many other cities and districts across the country. Funds from selling artworks will be applied to charity activities relating to animal rescue.
