Nearly half of the respondents say it’s necessary for private capital to be allowed access to these strategic areas and to roll back the state’s monopoly. Around 31% support this but since they are strategic areas after all, they think it should be done in a gradual and controlled manner. While 20% of respondents are opposed to this, citing concerns that national interests may be undermined if private capital is allowed in the mix.
