The 111th China Import and Export fair, better known as The Canton fair, opened in Gunagzhou Sunday. It’s attracted more than 10,000 buyers and companies looking for new business opportunities with China.

Held in the spring and autumn seasons each year since 1957, the canton fair has been seen a symbol of China’s export business. It was rebranded as an import and export fair five years ago - underlining Chinese consumers’ growing appetite for merchandise. So while the rest of the globe is still mired in recession, China’s huge potential is drawing in more and more companies hungry for a slice of that market in this business hub in South China.

Fair) in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province, April 15, 2012. The 111th
Canton Fair, with an exhibiton area of 1.16 million square meters and 59,434 exhibition
booths, started on Sunday in Guangzhou.
