In northwest China's Xi'an city in Shaanxi Province, a teenage girl was rescued after falling into a 6-meter-deep well while walking down the street.

Surveillance video shows the girl was making phones calls while walking, and failed to notice the pit on the road. A cab driver who happened to witness the whole accident stopped his car and jumped into the pit.

Firefighters and local police hurried to the scene with ladders and rescue tools, eventually pulling the girl out. The road has long been eroded by underground water, forming a big hole in the middle of the pedestrian road.
