The Chinese consulate in Canada is aiding Lin's family members in traveling to Canada. An official said his parents are expected to arrive next week to arrange for their son's funeral. Police suspect Lin was killed by Canadian pornography actor Luka Rocco Magnotta in the city of Montreal, with whom he had a "relationship" with, according to friends.

The killer videotaped the murder and posted it online. Parts of Lin's remains were discovered last week after they were sent to the federal Liberal and Conservative parties in Ottawa. His torso was also found stuffed in a suitcase and dumped in a trash pile behind the suspect's apartment.

Canadian media reported Magnotta having posted multiple videos of torturing animals online last year, without gaining the attention of local police.

A surveillance image provided by Interpol shows who authorities believe is Magnotta at a security checkpoint area in Paris.

Picture released on May 31 by Interpol as part of an
international wanted list, for Canadian Luka Rocco
Magnotta, 29. He is suspected of killing a Chinese
student and posting body parts to various locations
around Canada.
